I don't remember seeing a lot of amenities, but their grounds are large with many buildings, so each level of care, memory care, nursing, are all in separate buildings. I didn't find the sales staff readily able to help. It is worth mentioning that Medicare pays for what they deem as 'medically necessary' skilled nursing care.

My grandfather was a resident of Briarcliffe a little over a year ago for almost 6 months before he passed away. At first he went in because he was having some shorter term health issues and my grandmother was having a hard time managing to care for him on her own.

I understand a lot of the attendees are senile and so it’s hard to believe what they say about their experiences there so it is hard to say for sure. Briarcliffe Manor is a nursing home located in Johnston that offers nursing home care. I cannot even give one star….please don’t send your loved ones to Briarcliff. The staff is not friendly and don’t realize this is home for some patients. No one seems to be able to answer any questions.

Older people don’t want to eat at 7 pm… always cold and not very nutritious.we brought our own in. Only bring old clothes you don’t care about because they loose them…. Access to health care is an important consideration when selecting a nursing homes community. There are 13 hospitals close to Briarcliffe Manor.
Dining is where you find somebody that you like to sit with, and you sit with that person. I think that would be better for my brother because he would sit with a couple of people that are professors down there, he's highly educated, even though his mind is now going short-term. It would be better for him to choose instead of him being assigned a place to sit. You can have a dog on a leash over there in the back, to relieve itself outside, which is perfect for my brother. I was disappointed in the library, but that might be because the facility is new.

This establishment reported they were going to call the police and have me arrested because I asked to to have my paperwork back. Paperwork that I was coerced to sign and that wasn''t fully explained.
